The Glenn Segars Scholarship was established in 1999 by his wife, Mrs. Anne Segars. The Glenn Segars Scholarship is awarded to one or more graduating high school seniors from Barrow County public high schools, who have been accepted to an accredited four-year college or university. The student must show success in academics, demonstrate involvement in his/her community, and have a need for this scholarship.

Mr. Glenn Segars was a student member and officer of the first Future Farmers of America Chapter chartered in 1929 in the State of Georgia at Statham High School. Mr. Segars would later become a Vocational Agriculture teacher in Barrow County Schools, and the Assistant Commissioner of Agriculture for the State of Georgia.
